NC3Rs Workshop: Application of non-animal approaches for decision making in chemical safety assessment

Event Date: December 10th - 11th 2018

In collaboration with Unilever, the NC3Rs is hosting a two-day workshop in central London on 10-11 December 2018.

This workshop will bring together academic and industry researchers across disciplines to share their knowledge and experiences in applying non-animal (in vitro and in silico) methods for safety assessment decision-making.

The key objectives of the workshop are to:

  • Showcase how non-animal approaches are currently being used to enable and improve decision-making in chemical safety assessment.
  • Increase awareness and acceptance of non-animal approaches to accelerate their uptake, particularly in a regulatory setting.
  • Identify scientific gaps that if addressed could have a significant impact on the uptake of non-animal approaches.
  • Encourage collaboration between sectors to maximise the impact of non-animal approaches.

Attendance is free, but registration is essential. Please register by 12 November at www.nc3rs.org.uk/chemsafety18. If you wish to present a poster, please submit your abstract by 2 November.

Regards,

The NC3Rs team
