This timely seminar focuses on the future of the life sciences industry in the UK.

It is scheduled as Government develops its proposed life science industrial strategy, and also comes in a context of uncertainty for the sector following the UK’s vote to leave the European Union.

Delegates will consider the work of the current UK EU Life Sciences Steering Group to manage the transition and how this presents challenges and opportunities for industry, with a particular focus on regulation – with priorities for the MHRA and the European Medicines Agency, as well as the next steps for research and development.

Further sessions focus on clinical trials and encouraging patient participation, in light of the launch of the European Commission’s new Clinical Trial Regulation in 2018; key issues for workforce development – including skills, recruitment and retention – as well as the next steps for encouraging innovation in the NHS after the publication of the Accelerated Access Review.
